Lofbergs Brazil Single Origin Coffee, bought form Tesco for £7 – a smooth bodied taste worth the price!

The Spec;

Roast – Medium/Dark

Strength – 4

Roast Level 4/5

Bitterness 2/5

Body 4/5

Acidity 2/5

Flavour Notes – Milk Chocolate

The manufacturers describe it as “sweet notes of butterscotch and a long, hazelnutty aftertaste, Löfbergs’ Brazil is nothing short of round, smooth and delicious.”

This is an excellent description, it is rounded from it’s use of the ‘peaberry’; a rare form of coffee bean that produces one seed instead of two and so does not get flattened, instead retaining a fuller texture.

If you are a Coffee drinker who goes for more bite this isn’t for you! If you are after more kick I recommend a Robusta from Indonesia or Ethiopia to get more acidity and fruitiness.

Tesco £7

My Take – A mild chocolate with a lot of body, I can see why Brazilian coffee is so highly rated and also why Swedish manufacturers are some of the most successful; a match made in heaven.

A smooth, rounded, caramel flavor with more body than any coffee I have ever drunk before!

Final Marking;

4.5/5
