The Spec;
Roast – Medium/Dark
Strength – 4
Flavour Notes – Dark Chocolate
This coffee will draw you in immediately due to it’s state of origin; the Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu.
And while the iconic Andes settlement will seem like an ideal location with it’s high altitude for growing coffee plants, the resulting produce doesn’t reflect a Organic Fairtrade Arabica from high in the mountains.
Instead you get a more passable, simple mid range, chocolatey flavor lacking in any distinct aroma or identity- the whole selling point of a single origin!
My Take – A indistinct taste for a Single Origin, the much advertised Dark Chocolate overtones are not that memorable and tad overpriced for the quality.
Final Marking;
3.5/5
