The Spec;
Roast – Medium/Dark
Strength – 4
Flavour Notes – Rich Chocolate Notes, Floral aroma and a hint of Apricot
From Asda’s Extra Special range, this may be a bit of marketing hyperbole, you get to try a coffee not often found in Supermarket shelves.
My Take – While not as punchy in flavour it is a good starter coffee, with it’s ‘middle of the road’ flavour profile, this is deliberately as floral or fruity as other East African choices. However this is the point as coffee from the Limu region is designed to be roasted to crate a uniform taste, emphasizing the chocolate tones over the berry acidity.
Final Marking;
3/5
